Sofja ist Preisträgerin internationaler Klavier- und Kammermusikwettbewerbe in Russland, USA, Frankreich, Spanien und Deutschland, so 2005 - Preisträgerin des XVI. Internationalen Musikwettbewerbs „Flame“ in Paris.
2008 - 1.PREIS beim INTERNATIONALEN KLAVIERWETTBEWERB in Aix-en-Provence,
1.PREIS sowie den SPEZIALPREIS für die beste Interpretation der Werke von Francis Poulenc beim 6. INTERNATIONALEN FRANCIS-POULENC-KLAVIERWETTBEWERB in Limoges/Brive-la-Gaillarde/Tulle. Darüber hinaus erhielt sie Auszeichnungen, Förderpreise u. a. des Schleswig-Holstein-Musik-Festivals, Stipendien der Marie-Luise-Imbusch-Stiftung und des Richard-Wagner-Verbandes Magdeburg (2004).

Winner of international piano competitions in Russia, USA, France, Spain and Germany, 1st Prize at the International Piano Competition in Aix-en-Provence in August 2008, 1st Prize and Special Prize for the best interpretation of Francis Poulenc's music at the International Francis Poulenc Piano Competition (2008), Sofja Gülbadamova began her piano studies at the age of five at the Gnessins' Special Music School in Moscow (Russia) and continued 1996 at the Lübeck Conservatory in Germany, at the CNSMD as well as at the Ecole Normale de Musique de Cortot in Paris (France) where her studies were supported by the Zaleski Foundation and where she obtained her "Diplôme Supérieur de Concertiste" unanimously and with the congratulations of the jury which included such eminent artists as Gabriel Tacchino and Aldo Ciccolini.

Sofja Gülbadamova est lauréate de concours internationaux de piano et de musique de chambre en Russie, aux Etats-Unis, en France, en Espagne et en Allemagne. On lui a par ailleurs décerné une bourse de la Fondation Marie-Luise Imbusch (1998), le prix d’encouragement du Festival de musique du Schleswig-Holstein (1999), le prix d’encouragement de la Fondation Possehl (2003) et une bourse de l’association internationale Richard Wagner de Magdeburg (2004). Enfin, elle reçoit le 1er prix de Concours International de Piano à Aix-en-Provence en août 2008 ainsi que le 1er Grand Prix et le prix spécial pour la meilleur interprétation des œuvres de Francis Poulenc du 6.Concours International pour Piano « Francis Poulenc ».
